The Third Ear Band ...... Alchemy LP and they also did the sound track for a Playboy magazine production of Macbeth. Saw them in Regents Park w/ Caravan way back. (at least I think it was Regents 1973?)

I've listened to this record for around two years now, but I am definitely surprised that "John Macaluso & Union Radio" and his debut 2007 record "The Radio Waves Goodbye" isn't in on Progarchives. Macaluso is known for his numerous acts over decades (the acclaimed Norwegian progmetal band Ark, the supergroup Starbreaker, TNT, Yngwie Malmsteen etc).
"The Radio Waves Goodbye" is comprised with various musical incorporations, mainly progressive metal, progressive rock, jazz fusion and art rock. It also features guests known from the prog act, such as James LaBrie, Vitalij Kuprij, Marco Sfogli and many more outside the prog territory. You can visit his site and listen to the 6 tracks out his debut album from the media player. I recommend the tracks "Soul In Your Mind" and "T-34" for their prog-metal orientation and other tracks that are more Jazz-fusion oriented (besides "Pretzel" that is more of a drum solo track). I'm listening to the excellent Meditavolutions (1996) by tragically overlooked jazzcore/prog band Iceburn (also called Iceburn Collective but I think the original plain Iceburn name sounds cooler) and I'd like you to listen to it too and join my campaign to get them included in the PA listings as they deserve. Instrument focused (but there is some singing) madness by real virtuosos. It's very raw, sounding improvised, live, unedited, almost as though it was actually played in one take without the usual trickery which is quite admirable. The fact that the album is a musical palindrome is one of the most deliciously proggy ideas I've ever seen.
It has a 22 minute track called Sphinx, how can you resist?

![]() Nosound's last release, fantastic work. My favorite song is Places Remained, also From Silence to Noise. Are you a Pink Floyd fan? I am a HUGE Floyd fan. One thing that attracted me to Nosound was their very excellent cover of Echoes. If you subscribe to Nosound's new letter you can download this song as an mp3 for free! It is nearly a perfect cover with slight embelishments... awesome.

![]() Nosound Sol29. A beautiful collection of music. I love the melodic flow, the mellow ambiance, excellent guitar solos. Favorite track is The Moment She Knew, an instrumental and great song. The band is from Italy, fronted by Giancarlo Erra who writes, records and mixes. GE played all insturments for Nosound until he began touring. His guitar style has been compared to David Gilmour. GE is a fantastic musician. They have a new CD coming this October. If you sign up for a Burning Shed newsletter you can download a free mp3 from the new CD, A Sense of Loss. http://www.burningshed.com/store/kscope/getfreedownload/4140111/ Web:

Gungfly - Please Be Quiet
Gungfly is a solo project by Rikard Sjöblom of Beardfish.
Rikard describes the album as "ranging from everything to pop, americana type folk/country to grunge and of course some PROG!"
There are some samples at http://www.myspace.com/gungfly
There is a bit of a delay with stores selling the actual CD, but Rikard has made it available privately for download. For more info, please check out:
