Doug Ferguson leaving Camel and making room to Sinclair. It's significant that the best Camel's albums are the first four. Maybe not because of his musical skill, as he wasn't the band mind, but his leaving was caused by the change in their musical direction to the jazzy-caravan-like Canterbury period. Sinclair was excellent with Caravan and Hatfield and the North, but I really dislike his period with Camel.
I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

Gabriel leaving Genesis, it has to be. Closely followed by Bruford leaving Yes.

I voted for Anderson. IMO Hackett was more important for Genesis than Gabriel.
Would you catch the final words of mine?

Gabriel leaving Genesis...this changed the face of Prog forever...not Fish leaving Marillion or even Waters leaving Floyd could ever amount to how devastating that was.

Gabriel leaving Genesis is winning? Wow, I guess fanboism does have more power than reason.

Personally I'd have Cliff Burton's leaving Metallica on top if optional. Most devastating on a number of different levels.

Obviously Gabriel and Hackett leaving Genesis. Because the music was more of a joint effort than when it was a trio, it was more of Phil Collins effort.

Btw didn't Yes leave Jon Anderson, not the other way around?
