Okay so I've spent the last couple of months trying to come up with my top 30 Zeuhl albums including a weeks holiday in October where much time was spent listening to this stuff.
I decided to post 5 polls of 6 albums mainly for discussion. So this is the first. Maybe I'll have the 5 winners go up against each other to see what is your favourite is of my favourites but we'll see.
Like my Post Rock list this is simply the albums I love to hear, this has nothing to do with what is the most innovative, influential, original etc.

I like all of these, the Magma wins out though. The Setna & Bringolf are particularly good.

Going to give it to Vision. An underrated/underknown gem.

Magma, Bringolf, Kultivator for top three. After that the rest bunch up for me, though there's nothing but good stuff here.

Coincidentally I was listening to the Bringolf album last night through headphones. Incredible piece of work! He certainly had a unique approach (okay, I'll have to say it, “vision”) whilst remaining squarely in the Zeuhl bag. Maybe the most distinctive compositional voice from the orginal French scene after Vander and Seffer?

Magma first, then Bringolf. I prefer Zao II and III.

Sure is Phil, highly rated but not a lot of ratings and a true Zeuhl album with those chants. Bringolf is a great drummer and having Alain Eckert on guitar and Alian Lecointe on bass doesn't hurt. Trumpet, sax and vibes also gives this a Jazz flavour.

It was interesting after the first Bringolf album that they all sort of went their own ways then Bringolf joined the Elain Eckert Quartet before deciding to make album number two "Vision" where he asked Eckert to return the favour and help him with it. Eckert was the guitarist for Art Zoyd early on although he changed instruments after a while feeling the violin was more appropriate with Art Zoyd's style of music.

I'm surprised right now that this album sits at number two. I love it, it's such a blast and very accessible. The guitar and the male and female vocals really impress.

My number two here and it would have been my pick a few years ago. Mauricia is incredible on vocals here but I get that's also why some aren't that into it.

I can't disagree with you, I haven't come up with any kind of an order with my top 30 but this would be right near the top if not the top.
