Ohhh I like this list! Pretty consistent but we have Eskaton's masterpiece along with a Magma album and the other four just hit the spot for me so right now I don't know how i'm voting.

Oh, man! Four AMAZING albums here! Had to go with 4 Visions > Udu Wudu > Black Equus > Aedividea

Not knowing Barndomens Stigar or Le Quatrieme Mouvement, I have some more new music to check out!

Really good list indeed, but I’m voting for Magma.

Can't not vote for Magma here.

Yep, just the good stuff here. Still Goliath over all the Davids once again. But Barndomens Stigar is just about equally treasured.

I don't own the Vak album (I have listened to Vak music) , so just considering the other five.... Well, methinks my vote was predictable, Eskaton's 4 Visions.  This has been one of my most treasured albums.  My second and third choices would be the Kultivator and Abus Dangerous albums.  Udu Wudu comes next (not one of my favoured Magma albums).  And although I like Ga'an, to me there is something off about it.  It remind me in part of Eskaton and like a less interesting Guapo  The vocals aren't quite there, it's retro, and the synths make it sound thin and cheap to my ears.  I do feel the the album lacks a certain depth and richness.  I wish they brought something more original to the table.  I still like it though.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

I had it like that for years - telling myself the A-side was weaker. I think I must have been affected by it's reputation believing it was my own opinion. Üdü Ẁüdü, Weidorje, Tröller Tanz, Soleil d'Ork and Zombies... I love them all and always have. And that was my Üdü Ẁüdü-story:)

Now that I'm here I'd also like to add that although Eskaton is my third favorite here, it's probably comfortably in my personal top 100 (not that I have one). Magma (and Kultivator) are just that important to me.

^ I knew you liked Kultivator very much (as do I), but I would have predicted 4 Visions to be your choice.  Strangely with me, it was "De Futura" that didn't really connect.  I must admit that while I have long had it in my collection, I have not listened to Üdü Ẁüdü in many years. I might feel differently now.  From the 70s Magma output, Üdü Ẁüdü is the album that least connected with me despite liking it, for whatever reasons

The one studio album I always have had unwavering love for by Magma is the debut.  I wouldn't expect it to make this series because John has not held it in such high regard.

I would be surprised if you didn't really like Kultivator. A Canterbury/ Zeuhl flavour to this one.

If I remember correctly there's another VAK album you like even more? Man that's one of my favourite modern Zeuhl albums. I figured Eskaton would take this, still might but Magma has it's fans.

Every thing you say about Ga'an is probably true but I love it anyway. There's something about her voice and the way it was recorded that I am really drawn to. An American band too. Lots of red flags perhaps but again it's music to my ears.LOL

One of my favourite Swedish bands not named Anekdoten, Sinkadus, Landberk or Anglagard. Sorry I'm a huge mellotron fan. My third fav on here after Magma and Eskaton.

This was Top's coming out party and to my ears this sounds fresh and different. I'm so impressed with the album cover too. It's meaningful and just looks cool being at night. Very epic looking.
