Hello friends of Progarchives. I would like to add a new band. It's Sigilu, of which I leave you the biography (written by them) and the information about their new album. This second album (which will be released in full tomorrow) fits into the Experimental/Post Metal category (there's a very clear Tool influence), but the first is very different (perhaps it would fit into Crossover Prog). I'll leave the information about the second album and various links so you can decide which section to include them in. I think it fits perfectly on this website (especially because of their new album, "Beta").

Artist Name: Sigilu
Album: Beta (2025)

1. Neuropa 08:16
2. Gracias y Perdón 5:57
3. Sagitario A 6:39

8. Concursología 5:23
9. Epílogo 3:17

CD/Digital: Astronomy Recording Music - ARM065/ARMCD015 (May 23th 2025, Spain)

Biography

Sigilu was born after the dissolution of the band Tierra de Cinco Minutos (Penórtico, 2012) due to Nacho Cuesta's departure back to his native Málaga. In the mountains of Torrox, Cuesta began to envision a new vintage of noticeably different songs, which after a few months brought him back to Lugo, and this time to stay. Initially as a duo with Pablo Saavedra on electronic drums, they soon added Hugo Rodríguez (violin) and Evaristo Frieiro (bass) to the set. In 2017, they released their first LP, Singularidad o Barbarie (which could belong to labels such as trip-folk or electro-songwriting), and after many stops, pandemics, the departures of Rey y Fiero, and the arrival of Ángel Boquete (bass), they managed to direct the production of their second album (Beta, 2025), with an infinitely darker and more acidic coloration and a metallic exoskeleton beneath which the sweet pulp that characterizes the band continues to beat.
