I was a huge fan as a child before discovering more exciting music and leaving soft pop. By now I know so much music that I can appreciate much better how special they were with what they did, so I have rediscovered much of their stuff. The Album > The Visitors, Arrival.

It's like Lewian says, you listened to it as a kid, and as an adult you appreciate and value it for its full significance! Besides, great songs can tolerate many versions, and they have them. It's hard to choose a favorite among the early versions, but I'll stick with the 1975 self-titled version.

I honestly find a lot of ABBA's music more impressive than most things Prog. The compository skills, the arrangements, the vocal harmonies in their peak era ca. 1975-1981 is peak popular music.
