I thought I would share with all friends on the site a great photo of me and the family in the company of the great Stephen Jones, Welsh international rugby player, who very kindly gave us a full tour of the new Llanelli Scarlets stadium and also undertook a coaching session for my son and two of his friends. An incredibly nice man, in addition to being a great player.

What a lovely photo. You must be as proud of them as I am of Ioan, who is starting to develop a talent for golf. 7 & 8 are such a lovely age. We are indeed blessed!

Nice photo....
I rarely watch rugby (just the 5 Nations), but in the games I watched Jones was one of the best players Clap
 
Btw, is this just an impression or, in Wales, there is an enormous number of people with the surnames Williams and Jones?  Confused

Jean; Judo is an excellent choice of martial art, very practical and generally much more effective for self-defense than karate or Taekwondo

you bet it is! a few weeks ago there was some ruckus outside the door, in which our girls were involved; we heard their voices. when we rushed out to see what was going on, both girls were lying on the floor, each holding the head of a boy in leg scissors. it turned out the boys had called us "ugly bald lesbians", upon which the girls took quick revenge. we told the girls they should not start fights, but secretly we were very proud of them

Luca, there is an amusing old film called Zulu, which relates the story of a Welsh regiment in South Africa in the Zulu wars, where the Williams, Jones, Edwards, et al have to be numbered (i.e. Williams 5 on parade) because there were so many of them!
