I've seen many polls like "best epic" , "best long composition" but nobody mentions these  Wonderful pieces of Music. It's not fair.

Here you can find only the  compositions (veryvery good ones)  no longer than 2.30.

I hope to enlarge this list with your help.
Would you catch the final words of mine?

I'll go other for "The Owl":

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

If you want another great short song you should try Kayak's Well Done or His Master's Noise.

"Wond'ring Aloud" by Jethro Tull. Also "Nursie" and "Cheap Day Return". Tull were masters of the short song.
Vinyl just sounds better!!

My fave is not on the list: "Pioneer" by Split Enz, a wonderful instrumental with wonderful synth waves, chord changes etc. Absolutely great stuff by keyboardist Eddie Rayner.

Bubbling under: "For Absent Friends" by Genesis, "Reunion" by Gentle Giant and "Pomp And Circumstance" by Camel.

EDIT: I also agree with friso with Kayak's "His Master's Noise": great chords and vocal harmonies.

Excellent one! Clap I love that track and album it's off.  Forgot it's short enough since it feels so full (though I thought of the album it's off).  I'll change my other vote to that one for now.

And one that I feel like embedding (interesting vid, though not a Residents favourite of mine):

Good poll, originality is always good.

I'll go for one of my all-time faves:

Although with the title track as an opener it's not the same, still this is rather a short instrumental gem for me.

Because of the absence of Nick Drake's Road, I tend to vote for more than half of them. Out of these I choose Acquiring the Taste.

Leaving out the "other" option due to my personal laziness, Eleanor Rigby is the only one of those I consider a masterpiece

Hairless heart is the best. Spirit of the water, Cans and Brahms and Horizons are really good too. I don't think that Lavender fits in this clasification. I don't think is little, maybe a masterpiece but not so little.
