Death Wish II. Brutal film, and one of the few sequels that dared match the original movie. (I enjoy the other sequels, but they start to get "out there.") Jimmy Page's score is excellent, too!
The "rest of the best": Borderline (watched it again recently for the first time in thirty years!); Death Hunt; 10 to Midnight; The Evil That Men Do; Messenger of Death; Act of Vengeance (underrated + made for HBO). Family of Cops, like Donato and Daughter, was made for TV, and was followed by two more movies.

10 to Midnight. When you see a naked man running down the street with a butcher's knife, you somehow know he's not collecting for the Red Cross.

^Ugh. I hate that they've tried to make this guy a "substitute Charles Bronson." I've not seen any of his movies.

I only realised it wasn't Charles Bronson when I saw he'd made a new movie in 2025. Hard to believe that Robert Bronzi isn't even related to Charles Bronson, despite giving me double vision. ![]() A Hungarian Charles Bronson is just about believable (bearing in mind the real Charles Bronson was Polish), but a Korean Charles Bronson? That may be stretching credibility a little too far. ![]() Edited by Psychedelic Paul - August 12 2025 at 13:33 |
