Ícaro for Fusion

Ícaro is a progressive fusion band from Argentina. Formed by Fidel Molfino in keyboards, Fransisco Taratuto in guitar, Gabino Acosta Flechner, drums, and Pedro Villanueva in bass. They seek to explore, through their own original material, genres such as rock, soul, blues and specially jazz. In a 2023 interview, they explained the raison d’etre of their bandname, linked to the greek myth: "Icarus is ambitious and pursues an impossible ideal, but achieving possible things in his path. Our Sun is that music never has to be a mere service, or a mere product, it's an art, and an art that has to change us all as human beings. The musical industry shouldn't manipulate the way in which people compose. We know that it's an unattainable mission. But our desire is to be able tu provoke in our listener a defying experience."
