I feel ashamed, all I've heard this year is Fear of a Blank Planet and Blackfield II.  And from those, FoaBP wins out.

I shortened your response, but it was an awesome, well thought out post. So many artists with new releases I had no idea about.

Thanks!!!

I just got Amaran's Plight today. That could make my year end top 10. Really good disc.

Have to say that the offerings from Rush and Dream Theater, closely followed by Porcupine Tree and Symphony X get my vote. Still time for others to do better. Graeme

I made some editing, adding some bands I missed.

Albums that I like a lot but to a lesser extent than the previous bunch but are recommended (even highly):

Seongul – s/t (only got it a few days ago and already up there…)

Alamaailman Vasarat – Maahan

Hella - There's No 666 In Outer Space

Magic Pie – Circus Of Life

Karda Estra - The Last Of The Libertine

Little Atlas – Hollow

Pure Reason Revolution – to be announced.

the new Dark Suns album

Iced Earth - Framing Armageddon (Something Wicked - Part 1)

I am sure I forgot to mention some albums but the main part is here.

Anyway, buy Grayceon's album! (and Senogul as well!).

First off wow Asaaf that quite the impressive list. Second, I didn't know a new PRR album was due out this year any details on it?

Do Make Say Think - You, You're A History In Rust
Maserati - Inventions For The New Season
Porcupine Tree - Fear Of A Blank Planet
