Genesis hands down. Very few bands could come close to Genesis during Genesis' prime (Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound). The complexity of their compositions, the quality of the musicianship, the feel, everything was there.

Genesis is now at 66.6% thanks to my input in the poll.
I love Gentle Giant...Octopus is one of the top prog albums...but Selling England by the Pound...that's just a masterpiece.

GG were the more versatile musicians and more complex, Genesis wrote more melodic music with a greater variety of emotions.
A very honourable draw. Two of the very best.

You can't be serious...
Genesis doesn't beign to compare with GentleGiant...
To say Genesis was more emotionally strong is just blatant misunderstanding of GG...
|
Epic.

Are you saying that, because someone finds Genesis more emotionally
fulfilling than GG, that they must not understand GG. Bovine Faeces I
say.
