Hi Everybody, this is Sami from Hidria Spacefolk.

I basicly registered to post a press release of our new album.

But since I'm here I could also answer some questions about the band if somebody is interested..?

I'll have to see first how this forum works and if there would be interest to Hidria Spacefolk thread.

Space and Love,

-S.

Hey Sami...

I'm new around here too, so I guess a "welcome" won't mean much coming from me...

Anyway, I'm always interested in the way bands write songs. I'm coming from a brutal death metal band, where one guy would put everything in a midi based guitarsoftware called Guitar Pro and everyone would learn their sh*t at home. Practice was always just tightening up to play together...
In progressive rock, which is based on build-up, atmosphere and co-play I find it hard to write songs in this manner. How do you, as what seems to be a well established, relatively succesful band do it? (excuse my ignorance, I've never heard of Hidria). Do you jam around in rehearsal, or does someone write it all and tell others what to play? Any kind of answer will be greatly appreciated...

Thanks... Smile
