Hello, I have recently tried making an account, but whenever I try to sign in to the main rating page, it also says error code 160 and that my password is incorrect, I tried resetting my password and typing it in several times but it hasn't worked. Strangely, (as you can tell my this message) I am able to sign into the forums perfectly fine, it is only the main rating website where I am unable to log in, does anyone know the solution to this?
------------- Sincerely, Bread

You need more than 2 posts to make a rating, so that may be what it is.

I had not thought you nned to post at the forum to get the functionality out of the main part of the site. When this has happened it can come down to special characters in the username. If you're online and I seem to be (look at active users) please PM me and I will change your username to something with less characters and sens me your requested password for logging in (you should be able to change that later in the forum user control panel if you like).
EDIT: Unfortunately I seem to have missed you as you are not now in active users, will PM you, and you can PM me back later. We will try a shorter username and new password.

HI, your ObeisantBread84 one looks fine. I have not made changes to it. I suggest logging in at the forum under that account, changing your own password in that account in your Member Control Panel at the forum, keep it fairly simple. As an example, Progfan1 (capital letter, number). And after try logging in here: https://www.progarchives.com/all_collaborators.asp" rel="nofollow - https://www.progarchives.com/all_collaborators.asp
And I forgot that I can't change names with the forum functionality now (haven't been able to for years) and your first account username looked fine anyway, and your second username probably was too.

I have the same issue as the OP. I can log in to the forum but not the main site - I get the following message when I try to do the latter:
Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a01a8' Object required: 'objItem' /login_user_submit.asp, line 43
(Also like OP I was unable to get into my old account, which had been inactive for quite a while and so may have been deleted, and made a new one. This is my second forum post so I'll see if that helps.)
EDIT: Nope, I still consistently get the same error. Tried in Firefox and Explorer. Thanks for any help.
Also, I know you're volunteers, so I'll take the opportunity to say how much I have gained from this site over the years as a lurker. Thanks for the labor of love.

Changing my password in the MCP didn't resolve it, but logging out and requesting a new password did.
