I promised to be off, but there have been some loose ends. I would like to do another for the 2000s. Since I am not gone completely for now and have some free time, I decided to take 20 of my usual suspects favourite studio albums from 1996 to 1999, and then add five very popular, high rated albums at PA that I have not been into for more variety. Note: I do prefer Long Season off the 1998 Fishmans concert, but opted to stick with studio albums, and I love the Portishead live, and Swans live from this period. There is no multiple choice and no "none of the above" or "other" option. Please vote for just one album even if you like more than that. And some of these are not in PA; whatever. And while there is no "other" poll option, feel free to mention as many of your favourites from these years as you like. There are many more that I like (both acts and various other albums by listed choices) from the period than the first 20 I listed. Aphex Twin - Richard D. It can be much like that with music for me. |

Oh my... so far I have voted for these four: The Necks - Hanging Gardens Godspeed You Black Emperor! - F#A# Tortoise - Millions Now Living Will Never Die Stereolab - Dots and Loops -but for that fifth vote I have think for a while before I decide: Aphex Twin - Richard D. James Album Boredoms - Vision Creation Newsun Mr. Bungle - California Portishead - Portishead Radiohead - OK Computer Swans - Soundtracks for the Blind -I suppose it's either the 4th, 5th or the 6th option. Just one eh? How can anybody do that? Although actually I realise that this is much easier than "vote for five" here, because Häxan wins my vote, and then there'd be loads and loads of candidates for the further four votes and I don't have to agonise about this. And as a side note, I will never play OK Computer again. So melancholic, and it will always be associated with hearing news that broke me back in 1998.
