I was reading a blog on the Dune website where Kevin J Anderson is
providing running commentary leading up to the release of the next two
Dune Novels. There is one day where he was at a convention in Oregon and working on edits to the manuscript. He mentions while working, he is listening to Audioslave and Dream Theater. Later in the day he mentions listening to Coheed & Cambria. He also has an affinity for micro-beers. He is a great author, if you have not experienced him, check him out and now I find out that he is a progger! 
Or at least a fringe Progger, since we do not have Audioslave or Coheed
