It appears that we have a few threads here, but I've got a brand new idea. Let's gather everything we know here, so that this thread becomes useful for everyone seeking new music in the new year. I'll start it in the rawest way with a relatively long list, based on already confirmed albums, albums with titles already applied and titleless, as well as 2007 albums based on PA members' posts (could be mere speculations).

I am hoping to make this a credible source, so all corrections, preferrably with a confirmation from the right person/page, so respond to this topic and point out corrections, or simply share your thoughts, predict the brightest release and so on.

Oh, almost forgot, I also listed non-prog albums by bands that I know some of our  members are crazily keen on, but let's keep this prog-oriented!

I think I read somewhere on this site that Taal are going to release a new studio album this year aswell. No title yet, as far as I know, but you can add Taal to the list.

I thought I heard that Pendragon was going to release something this year.

Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Glass Hammer, Salem Hill, and Pallas all release something this year, too.

Where did you hear that Kayo Dot is releasing a new album? Given that it took three years for them to release a new album from their debut and that more than half of the band just disbanded, I would have thought they might be a bit delayed...?

Judging from their website news section, it seems likely that Arena will deliver us a new album by the end of the year. They say they're slowly beginning the writing process, but it appears that statement dates back to September 2006.

Here are a few bands that will probably also release new LPs by the end of the year, although the following are pure speculation right now: Oceansize, Dredg, Shadow Gallery, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum.

According to the official TFK myspace , Roine Stolt is hopeful that a new Flower Kings album will be released in September or so.  Also, a 5.1 mix of remixed/re-recorded "radio friendly" TFK songs should come out this summer, whatever that means.

Additionally:

Tomas Bodin is working on a new album "You Are".

A new Karmakanic album "Who's the Boss In The Factory?" is in the mixing process.

A new Kaipa album is due out this Spring.

Roine Stolt is working on a new project, but it sounds like it might not be finished by the end of the year, so take that for whatever it's worth...

Oh. I didn't knew Z Silver Mt. Zion was going to release a new album this year. Great news.

You can add Ghost - In Stormy Nights to the list as well.

I think this year promises to be better than 2006 was due to the greater amount of 'big' names making albums.

Add Uriah Heep's to the list, which I think is due towards the end of the summer (they haven't started recording yet that I know of) and Magnum's 'Princess Alice And The Broken Arrow' which is out in March.

Circus Maximus have been spending a lot of time in the studio, and their second album is most likely going to be released before summer has passed. Title unknown, as far as I know.

All great news, especially Zonder and Jarzombek's new projects. However, Aghora's album was released in October or November 2006, if I'm not mistaken.

Another update.

Not a comeback really, just remembered about this thread and would still want people to make good use of it (and the reason for staying logged off was the idea of being useless). So logging off again, nevermind this post. I'll still come back to this thread every now and then, since this is about the only way I can contribute something worthwhile on the forums. Peace.

Just received promo-disc "Mirror" by new project Blind Ego with following participants
- John Mitchell (Arena, Kino, Frost, It Bites)
- John Jowitt (Arena, IQ, Frost)
- Paul Wrightson (Ex-Arena)
- Clive Nolan
- Yogi Lang (RPWL)
and although it did not do much for me, it might be of great interest for fans of above musicians and generally for neo fans, also can be interesting for metal-heads
