With summer starting to smolder my skin and melt my eyeballs this question arose.

My choice would be winter, for it's hot chocolate, snow rather than rain, slippery pavements and its cool appearance.

Like I recently wrote to someone: "April is the cruelest month, but June is not too far behind."

So winter for me too.

I voted autumn just off the top of my head.  I think on second thought it's spring.  I live in an area where we rarely get snow.  Of course if we did then I'd probably really dislike winter. LOL  Summers here can be brutal hot and humid and we aren't all that far south.  My sister lives in Florida and isn't particularly fond of the climate there in summer.  Actually spring really sucks around here.  We get assaulted by pollen.  What I like about spring is that we plant food: herbs, hot peppers, tomatoes, etc.  So maybe autumn after all because things cool off.  Lots of people like to head up to the mountains to see the changing leafs.  I'm not one of them though.  Then we have hurricane season.  Don't get me started on that...

For me winter is blizzards and -32 degree weather, it gets old quick. LOL I prefer summer even though it gets too humid.

When I was younger I was favouring summer because that's when women are the least dressed.

Now I find the exact same thing to be frustrating. LOLTongue

Since the last winter I know that winter will never be my favourite season ever again.
And I cannot decide between spring, summer and autumn.

Winter. I HATE summer in Florida, I hate temperatures over 80 F, and I love the colder times of the year...

In my country there are not "seasons"... I live in the tropic too near of the equator but there are some little differences between different parts of the year. The so called Autumn in my country is windy and cold and I think we have the most beautiful sky in Octuber and November so, Autumn but as I say, those are not marked seasons...

I absolutely hate the cold, I could be so hot I was sweating all over and my clothes were sticking to my body and I'd still prefer that over being just a little bit chilly. I don't know why but I've always been that way. So definitely summer for me.

Or, as I tell my friends, "I wish there were only two seasons in the year - Summer, and Christmas."

Actually I am jealous.

I've visited New York City in winter (my wife's from Staten Island).  Man that wind will strip all your flesh off the bones even if you are bundled up well. LOL

I live right in the middle of the continent, so I get pretty odd weather. Winters go down to about -40 degrees, and summers can get really bad. Sometimes the summer will only get up to about 30 degrees (celsius), but sometimes it gets up to about 40 degrees (celsius). I like spring. My city has a pretty moderate spring, so I enjoy it.

Yes, Alberta has some pretty hot summers. The chinooks (did I spell it right?) are great when it's winter time, though.

Different places in the world experience different climate and weather at different times of the year. Are we talking strictly weather, here, or the holidays/movies/events/etc. that happens during certain times of the year?

You must be further south in Alberta than I am. xD Sticks to about 25 degrees here during the summer.

Living in a place where it's consistently above 85 degrees and humid from February to November, I'll pick winter for the novelty alone. But I really do prefer cold weather. Like I always say....I can always put on another layer when it's cold, but when it's hot enough to make you want to take off your own skin....well, there's no escape.

I'm in Edmonton, so I'm too far north for the chinooks in winter, and it's way hotter than any of the immediate surrounding area, due to it being a big stinky city

I have to say autumn.

While winter has its moments....overall not a chance. Summer is too damn hot LOL. Spring is really nice, its a tough choice between that and the other mild season...but my gut says Autumn.

While I'm more of a cold weather person the best time of the year for me has to be summer and, I suppose, it always has been.  From kindergarden through senior year of college summer meant vacation away from the pointlessness of schooling.  Now, summer means I'm making money.

Autumn, overall. Spring would be next but it never rains enough to make me comfy and it's always like summer's peeking in not letting it be a real season. Winter and Summer are good for awhile, but they drag. All seasons are made better by the ones that precede it, but Autumn is awesome.

I'm in Calgary too and would not have expected Edmonton to have warmer summers. (I've only been there in winter and it was snowy there before it had even started in Calgary - and this is Calgary we're talking about, weird weather capital!)

LOLLOLLOL Well, I have never seen snow for example and during the Fall the weather gets cold, but my cold is about 10 degrees (celsius) or so, I can't imagine how is to live in -0 degrees and more. EmbarrassedLOL The warm of the tropic is great but I prefer the cold. Again, my cold I think is a little hot for many of you... LOL

Still the sky is beautiful and I doubt I would change it for anything...

Autumn, overall, but give me a solid month of one season and I'll be ready for the next to come. Summer has been particularly sh*t late, and Indiana seems to get f**ked with global warming or whatever. The summers now seem much longer and hotter than I remember even 15-20 years ago.
