I would like to get to know some more stoner rock. Up till now Iīve only listened to Kyuss, QOTSA and Fu Manchu. Now I would like to hear something similar. Any suggestions?

There's a great album by a supergroup known as Shrinebuilder. It has Dale Crover from the Melvins on drums, as well as guys from Neurosis (Scott Kelly), Sleep (Al Cisneros), and St Vitus (Scott "Wino" Weinrich). It has a classic heavy metal sound to it, like early Sabbath (the model of all stoner rock).

The only album rom that genre that i have that isn't by any of those bands is this:
Sleep - Holy Mountain
Can't say i've listened to it much, but it sounds pretty stoner to me. If you like heavy, stoned, riff-based music, you'll probably dig it!

Oh, and electric wizard. Beware, though. It's heavy as a b*****d. The heaviest music i've ever heard, and i can personally only take a few minutes of it. If you're really, really into HEEEEAAAAAVY, crushing, dark and bassy riffs, aswell as crappy-sounding vocals, then i'm sure you'll dig them aswell! I don't (maybe a little here and there, but as whole: no)

Good song, though i prefer "Hands all Over", which is probably my favorite Soundgarden song ever. Not many bands can do such a simple riff so good. It's so simple it's ridiculous. Two power chords one octave apart and some slides.
And yes, Soundgarden will surely appeal to fans of stoner rock/metal. They have such a great blend of heavy, punk, psychedelic and classic rock elements, all mixed together in a grungy seattle sound

Good cautionary statement. Electric Wizard is not to be approached without proper mental preparation. "Dopethrone" is almost ridiculously heavy. I personally am relieved that the vocals aren't either screechy or growly (which they very well could have been, given the genre) - instead, it sounds more like some bonehead hollering into a megaphone. Cool.

I read some reviews before I bought it, and these reviews actually cautioned me to be careful about damaging my speakers. Imagine music that is so heavy that an average stereo system will destroy itself to avoid playing it. Now THAT would be ridiculously heavy.
