Tough poll for me. I love Djam Karet and Zombi the most. I love the Dregs on a different level for that fusion kick. Savatage is one of the very best metal bands ever.

Since I own more albums by them than the others, Djam Karet, because in spite of a steadily increasing listenership over the last 20-25 years, has never gotten the exposure they truly deserve. (Really a Djam Karet/Zombi tie.)

Hmm...  Djam Karet, Happy The Man, Tortoise and Isis are all great.
I'll have to go for DK, in the end.

Of that batch,  Happy The Man is definitely my favorite.

Isis. Aaron Turner is a genius through and through, and without Isis the post-metal scene would not be where it is today.

I consider drone metal to be progressive...

Djam Karet or Tortoise due to the quantities of CD albums I have... could be Dixie Dregs on Morse merit. I've only ever heard one record and it was brilliant. Utopia's Ra is fine -so.... Djam Karet but a close call.

I didn't even notice Utopia was in the poll. I'd still pick Djam Karet, but the first two Utopia albums are prog rock classics in my book. I like Ra, too. I'd recommend those three. After that, YMMV.

Exactly Clap  Utopia also played at Steve Hillage L the album, which is one of the classics, & Todd was produced that great album.

Steve Hillage & Utopia:

Very underrated, though.

No Kansas, Enchant, Magellan? Astra or Presto Ballet?
No Fates Warning? OSI? even Redemption is a great band.
No king's X? Aslso the Jelly Jam side project is nice, too.

Hi,

The US is really tough for representation in a progressive board for today, compared to yesterday.

Nice to see my favorite Djam Karet so well represented. I hope I have a chance to see them before I die. I wanna read a poem to Dark Clouds No Rain!
