This was easy: Demon FuzzHeart

"Prog" that you can play while you're doing some adult gymnastics - without the girl leaving in the midst of things. Funky, sultry and infinitely heart warming.

I haven't liked their last album too much, honestly, but I have really enjoyed the firsts so they have my vote.

I stand with Roger Waters, I stand with Joan Baez, I stand with Victor Jara, I stand with Woody Guthrie. Music is revolution

I have albums by Demon Fuzz, Ahvak, Osibisa, Discus, and Phlox, but much as I like music by all of those, Demon Fuzz gets my vote, as I adore the Afreaka album (I don't have the other Demon Fuzz album).  You know, I think I've voted for most of those bands I listed in past polls (depends upon what they are up against, of course, what music I knew at the time, and what I was particularly into at the time).  Osibisa would come a close second (I also really love Osibisa).

Speaking of Demon Fuzz, I can't resist to post this soundclip from the second album of Earth, Wind and fire : The need of love.

Karnivool without even a second thought. I'll admit I'm not too keen on their other records, but Sound Awake is in my top 25 for all-time. I love that Australian scene though, Dead Letter Circus, Cog, Breaking Orbit, The Butterfly Effect etc. It's fast becoming my favourite area of music.

Phlox for me although if I had to pick one album from all of the bands listed it would be Afreaka! from Demon Fuzz followed by Ahvak.

Osibisa, with their criss-cross sound (which is what the name means). A jazz/fusion/world music band before there was such a thing as world music. After that, Asia Minor. Both bands have produced terrific music.
