Shakespeare
3 stars Quite a colourful thrill ride. Lots of imagery in this music and the interesting lyrics. Steve Hackett's distinctive (acoustic and electric) guitar sound is throughout this album, yet it is clearly not a Genesis album. The album easily changes from soft, beautiful songs (Hands of the Priestess) to great prog rockers (A Tower Struck Down, Ace of Wands). The Last song of the album mercilessly beats out a haunting melody endlessly, and ends the album gorgeously. A very slick and imaginative album, overall. Any Genesis lover, Symphonic Prog lover, or Progressive Rock lover will most likely love this piece of fine music.
