5 stars A legendary live recording of the legendary hard rock band Deep Purple. Is this prog? It most certainly is, all songs going well over 6 minutes and all of them are very rich in instrumentation and do things that normal rock songs would never imagine of doing!

At first though, before hearing this album, I was a bit cautious. Cos the vocals by Ian Gillan on the studio albums are among the best ever. His screams are just incredible, but can he do it live too? The answer luckily is yes, he's almost as good as on the studio albums.

If you don't know Deep Purple but you like hard rocking prog then this CD is a good place to start, if you're a real neo-proger then this might not be such a great album for you, but hey, not every album can please everyone's tastes right?

5/5 for me no doubt.
