3 stars A progressive work from gaming world. If you watched the movie "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children" and listened to its soundtrack, well that's what's this album looks like, at least for the battle parts, since most of this were songs of battle theme. For some of non-FF fans maybe will find it less appealing. However,if you like what Uematsu did with FF: AC, you'll probably like this one. The mixing of the original song with rock elements (and prog also) works well here. My highlights of this album are 'Clash on the Big Bridge', 'Force Your Way', 'The Decisive Battle', 'Dancing Mad'(the best song of this album IMO), and 'Fight with Seymour'. Uematsu is indeed an excellent composser and musician as well. Overall, this album is cool IMO, though some may say that this album only for fans/ collector only. If you are an FF fan, and like all of Uematsu's works, this maybe what are you looking for.
