NON METTERE LE DITA NEL NASO

First review of this album! WOW! I'm honoured, since I'm probably one of the 10 people in the world to have this cd...And of all prog-related albums, only the solo work of Franz Di Cioccio (PFM) is less known than this one. First of all, I would like to point out that this one is not really a Banco albums, since even on the cover ( I know you can't tell from this little immage, ok.) the band is stating clearly: Banco presents Francesco Di Giacomo "Non mettere le dita nel naso" which freely translates: don't put your fingers in your nose!!! (Odd title, yuo agree!!!). So, why this statement...Well, back in 1989 I thought to myself that probably the music was so far away from the band's production, it could not be called a real Banco work. TOTALLY WRONG!!! What I discovered was a nice crafted pop album, with clever arrangements, very very nice melodies and funny lyrics. And that's done on purpose! I mean, if you take a look back on the lyrics on the past albums...its not really prog, nor Banco style. Then today, looking back at the 80's records produced by the band, this one is BY FAR the best one, from every point of view. I mean...come on..."Urgentissimo" "Buone notizie" "Banco" and "...e via" are really not up to the level, don't you think? If you love Banco's music from the 70's and really are into Francesco's voice, like I am (and always will...this a love statement, I admit!) you should give this record a chance. Of course, if you can find one!!!
