2 stars Before any critic it would be good to understand the concept of solo album for Dave Gilmour... ... Dave said many times that the band (Pink Floyd) was cutting his legs. He said that artists like Clapton could do covers without run away from the music that fans are used to. And he doesn't! Pink Floyd as that distinctive color!

I think that this album is prog related and that's all. Dave wanted to free himself and remember his early influences, like Hank Marvin (from the Shadows). The first song shows us a kind of "David Harvin" in the beginning and the real Gilmour in the master solo. Gilmour wrote some beautiful songs in this album, but in his point of view . Of course Waters would made it more dark. The guitar sound is getting better, wanting for "The Wall". It's an important step in Gilmour's technique, that's why we've got "comfortably numb" now!... Was middle step...

There's a couple a cute songs but nothing more... For fans only!
