3 stars An airbag saved my dub!

This time after a very nice and well accepted tirbute to Pink Floyd (Dub Side of the moon), this group of musicians from various part of the world, gathered together to make a new tribute album to a newer band (compared with Floyd of course) and it`s probably most succesful album, the majority of people consider OK Computer Radiohead`s best album, or at least their favorite, so that could have been a strong argument to the release of this new tribute.

I dont really know Easy Star All Stars, but i believe they like or have been influenced by some prog music, no matter if it is the most well known or not, it is always a good thing to know that people with different musical tendencies can enjoy some prog music. After that good job in the Floyd`s tribute, they couldn`t have followed with a better tribute. The impact of their first tribute was good, very well received between people, reggae or prog lovers, and this time with Radiodread was the same, a very nice tribute, reggae oriented obviously, with their particular touch and with something that i like so much, the deppressive music of Radiohead`s OK Computer, was converted to Happy music with Easy Star All Stars.

As with the previous album, they covered not only a few songs, but the whole OK Computer and was named Radiodread and released in 2006, i personally am not a follower of reggae music, but i appreciate the work of these guys and they will to both create an own style within a very popular band/album, and to share their likes and open new horizons to some people. I wont review song by song, you already know them, i just want to point out as i said before, that the music is reggae and obvioously has nothing to do with prog, besides the 12 OK COmputer songs, they added a couple more named "Exit Music (for a dub)" and "Airbag saved my Dub", silly names but it shows their orientation.

The album is nice, i dont listen to it very often, but i enjoy it when i do it, also i had the luck of see them in concert recently, and was a nice performance, this album, and Dub Side of the Moon, can be recommended to any follower of Floyd and Radiohead for sure, but also to other "open-minded" people who can enjoy this type of music. 3 stars! Nice tribute.
