4 stars This great debut album from the Blue Öyster Cult has very little if any filler. The album isn't very long but still full of classic BÖC tracks. "Transmaniacon MC" is a fine opener. "I'm On The Lamb But I Ain't No Sheep" comes originally from the unreleased 'Stalk- Forrest Group' record. Included are also the live favorites "Then Came The Last Days Of May", "Stairway To The Stars" and "Cities On Flame With Rock And Roll". All great songs and highlights of the band's career. "Before The Kiss, A Redcap" showcases the band's jazz side. And the rest of the songs aren't bad by any means.

One of BÖC's best and what better place to start from than where it all began.
