4 stars I'm not the biggest Santana fan, as I think he is an overrated guitarist and songwriter. He's good and he has some catchy songs, but I don't think his music is instrumentally that great. Until this album that is. The music here isn't quite jazz fusion, it's a mix of alot of things, and no matter what you want to call it, it's very good. Santana's playing actually became original and very interesting to listen to on this album and while I think his earlier stuff is good, it's overrated because of the hits and without those, his earlier albums would just be lost jems of the psychedelic era that people would find out about and go, "hey, this is pretty good". Some of the highlights of this album are Look Up (To See What's Coming Down), Song of the Wind, and Stone Flower. I would recomend this album who thinks that all Santana is overrated.
