5 stars This by far one of the funniest albums in my collection. Frank Zappa is the word in entertainment. Great lyrics, great vocals, great music.

This album is really one of jazz-rock's finest moments. Zappa spends the first half of the album telling the story of the Duke of Prunes, and how people should talk (and ultimately make love) to vegetables, whilst the other half is spent on songs of equal humor and varying stories.

Great moments on this album include the lusty "Duke of Prunes", the frantic "Amnesia Vivace", the fine instrumental "Invocation & Ritual Dancing of the Young Pumpkins", the infinitely disturbing and hilarious "Brown Shoes Don't Make It", and finally the lounge/casino tune "America Drinks and Goes Home".

The album contains enough material to fill a book. It is truly a testament to creativity, comedy, and music.
