5 stars This is lush from start to finish. Lots of grace and goose-pimples, but also you can detect the beginnings of heavier more metal riffs that they were going to bring in this decade. At the same time, it has very Floydian sounds especially 'Waiting' and 'Dark Matter' with their Glimour-esque solos. On the other hand, if you liked 'On The Sunday of Life' there are developments and reminisces of those sounds from that era. There are also tracks to really lose yourself in - the best of which being Idiot Prayer. Sever is a very powerful track, which I'm pleased to say they opted to play live in last year's tour.

The best - like quite often with PT albums - was saved til last - Dark Matter - a totally moving piece with a mesmerising repeating bass-line from which the rest of the track develops in true great progressive style.

A true masterpiece and highly recommended.

I'm not sure how that woman on the front cover coped - it must have been painful tied up in those ropes!
