2 stars Regarding composition and performances, this band is near-perfect. This style of RIO is the one i don't dig very much: very dissonant pretty much all the time, with very few accesible moments. They make an abuse of complex time signatures and dissonance IMHO. Some other RIO albums do this with success but i won't listen to this album again in the short time. When i listened to those other RIO albums that are very dissonant and complex, i decided to give them a try again and again but in this case not because it's not for my taste. Mirthkon's firs album was good, maybe some day i'll write that review. This album has a lot of filler; so many dissonant and boring compositions with no emotion (again, i like some dissonant compositions but not in this case). It's a 2 star album for me. Pretentious and boring, almost all the time, at least to my ears and taste.
