4 stars A decent live set given away free with an edition of the book England's Hidden Reverse, a study of the intertwined worlds of Coil, Current 93, and other pioneers of the esoteric side of the industrial scene. The set is split between numbers from Soft Black Stars, the instrumental accompaniment from Maja Elliot on piano capturing the sparse style of that album, and older numbers with Michael Cashmore giving a minimalistic guitar accompaniment which successfully transforms the songs so as to aesthetically fit into the Soft Black Stars mode. If you like this particular gentle side of Current 93's sound, then this is a pretty decent live set, though I wouldn't put it on the level of Some Soft Black Stars Seen Over London.
