STARDUST WE ARE

3.5 stars really. There is a lot to admire on this album, but there is also a fair bit of filler..and sometimes it is in the same song! The instruments are all played well and Stolt's voice is OK, but no individual song screams 'classic' to me. 'Circus Brimstone' and the title epic come the closest. There are a lot of similarities between TFK and Spock's Beard so I guess it is not surprising that members from both bands got together to form a supergroup (Transatlantic). This album is better than an average 3 star album, but there is too much music on it that doesn't do much for me to give it a 4.
