3 stars It took band quite long time to record 2nd album and the result of this session isn't satisfying to be honest. Sound didn't change much although it appears to be more brutal than previous release. I'm not trying to say it's bad album but there's lack of something memorable and I don't think band needed that kind of album at the time. In 1986 thrash metal wasn't the same as in 1983. Many things changes. Some bands decided to work more on production, some on more complex chords. As for the band who's known for the constant progress and original concepts Rrroooaaarrr ain't a good testimony. Where that rock and roll from War And Pain? What happend? Ok, there are two songs that could be released on previous album and stand the pace and it's Slaughter In A Grave (my favorite) and The Helldriver. Other tracks aren't bad though. If you expect some extreme aggressive music of the old school metal pick this one. You shouldn't be disappointed cos it sounds like classic thrash releases of that era. If you like Kreator's Pleasure To Kill or Slayer's Hell Awaits this album is for you. To The Death sounds like Slayer btw. Maybe not a masterpiece but worth of listening.
