2 stars I found this debut rather boring and immature. The guitar sounds too harsh, the most of the melody lines are boring, uninteresting and sometimes pointless. What makes it even worse: the vocals. This guy has a very strange voice, and it would be good if he didn't drag it so much...at first it seemed unlistenable. Unlike the second album Dominion, this one still has some adventourous parts that leap over to inspire their later albums. I give the second star because of: the beginning of Eternity, the ending of Call of the Sea, the guitar solo of Fire Within, the lilting flute in Etude Jongleur, and surprisingly The Gleeman, which I found is the best track, perhaps. Singing about singing, a great theme!
