3 stars This was a reissue on an earlier compilation released in 1983 also titled Gold to agree with the new CD medium. It has an excellent assortment of songs like Green Earrings, Black Cow from Aja, the exquisite Here At The Western World off Royal Scam. The highlights on this package though are the two songs included from Donald Fagen's first solo album Nightfly. These are Century's End and True Companion. Also there is a classic live version of Bodhisattva from Santa Monica, I think, where the speaker introducing the band sounds totally wasted! It is very funny and no doubt apart from an excellent live version of the song, a humorous reason for Fagen and Becker to include it on the reissue.
