4 stars It's not correct to talk about Falling Into Infinity as a grave mistake for a band like Dream Theater. Yes, maybe it's not a masterpiece at the level of Images And words and the following Scenes From A Memory but we don't have to condemn this album as a delusion! We mustn't forget that this album, although is not one of the most representative contains some classics such as Trial Of Tears, Peruvian Skies, New Millennium and Lines In The Sand, always unforgotten and still present in some live setlists. Another masterpiece song in this album is Hell's Kitchen a melodic instrumental song with a lot of progressive elements. Yes there are a lot of commercial songs such as You Not Me, Burning My Soul and Hollow Years (one of their best ballads) but it doesn't mean they aren't good songs. This album will never be in the olympus of prog-music, we're sure, but 4 stars is a good quotation!
