IL VOLO

I picked up this album in the 70's after seeing that it was on the same label as PFM (Numero Uno). I wasn't disappointed. The CD I now have includes both albums. Not strictly progressive, this group managed to blend a variety of styles into a very original- sounding, melodic "whole". Side one is excellect, and Side two is good for the most part (the last song is GREAT, though stylistically out-of-character). The vocals are better on some songs than others, as is often the case with Italian Prog. Two thumb up.
