TANGERINE DREAM recorded this small EP for the german TV series Tatort during its formation with Johannes Schmoelling, one of the most prolific period from the band, especially for soundtracks.

The opener, "Das M�dchen Auf Der Treppe", is a remix of "White Eagle". In comparison to the original track, rythmics are added and sounds modeling the melody differ a little. Yet, I still prefer the album song. "Flock" and "Speed" are now remixed on the Antique Dreams compilation under the names "Flock of Bluebirds" and "Speed Dragon". These are fast, energic, action sequenced tracks, both ending with dreamy passages. "Katja" is thus the only novelty here. It is a quite relaxing track with a smooth melody, rather in contrast to the studio material of the band at this moment.

In conclusion, "Die Melodie Aus Dem Gleichnamigen" is an enjoyable EP. Only for fans of TD with Schmoelling.
