4 stars Ok, I admit to a strong sentimental streak when it comes to Exit, as it was the first TD album that I owned, discovering the band in college from an astronomy professor who liked playing electronic music before class as the students filtered in. I asked him who the band was, he told me, and I went to the store and this was the album cover that caught my eye. A little put off by the vocals on 'Kiew Mission' at first, I loved the music. Although I now have 23 years of hindsight since buying the album in 1985, and realize that the Baumann years were likely the best and certainly the boldest, I do really enjoy Schmoelling-era TD and think this was a fine example of their more melodic EM sound before they totally jumped the shark sometime around the time of Paul Haslinger's arrival or certainly after his and Franke's departure. For those who think this abandons all pretense of being experimental or daring anymore, the title track and 'Remote Viewing' are still excellent atmospheric tracks that hold up extremely well today. Not their best, but still a very enjoyable listen and one of their better releases.
