5 stars In the late 70's "Disco" and "Punk" buried "Progressive rock", and, with it, my love for music. 15 years later I listened to Metallica's Black album and then I thought that good music still had a future. The previous works of this band had not aroused my interest, because they were too tied to the style of metal, but Black album awoke my ears from a long sleep: in it, removing some pieces typically thrash, there was power, technique, passion, imagination, melody and a drum sound ever heard before. The Unforgiven and Nothing Else Matters are among the most beautiful ballads of all time, Wherever I May Roam, My Friend of Misery, Enter Sandman and Sad but True enclose power, imagination, melody and many "prog" cues. For me, Black album is the true beginning of Progressive Metal
