KEYS TO ASCENSION

Keys 1 and 2 were both mixtures of live and studio tracks, but were also released as separate live and studio albums. The live elements are taken from a whole concert (performed over a couple of nights) reuniting the classic Yes lineup. The sound of these recordings is excellent both in sound quality and the musical performances. The only thing missing for me from this concert was heart of the sunrise. I think this album (and the symphonic yes dvd) are the best live yes recordings. I am not particularly keen on the studio tracks, I don't think they work well along side the classic tracks. I would rate the live material as 5 stars and the studio material as 3.
