5 stars This is my favorite Maiden album and there are moments we can call this music truly progressive. First of all if comared to previous releases this one sounds different. More spacy. The second thing is, guitar chords are built in truly progressive way. Sometimes riffs don't fill much space leaving room for synth guitar effects. It sounds really great believe me. Every track on this album is brilliant but two my favorite are Sea Of Madness and Stranger In A Strange Land. Both written by Adrian Smith are 2 of my 3 best Maiden tracks ever (the other one is Revelations). And both are a bit similar. There's that proggy quiet part in the middle of each of those. Like something taken from Yes or Genesis. Simply amazing tunes. Guitar solos on this release are mostly played by Adrian and I think it was a good move because he's more tallented guitarist than Dave Murray in my eyes. His guitar work sometimes reminds me of Alex Lifeson's style. Especially in those solos. The songs are dynamic, melodic, good arranged and played with precision. This easily deserves 5 stars. Heavy metal for thinkers.
