4 stars Not really standing the test of time for me anymore, as most of the tracks are dull in comparison to stronger future releases. I still return from time to time to hear the strong songs like "New Millenium", "Hell's Kitchen", "Lines in the Sand", and "Trial of Tears", which all hold their own against all of DT's classics. "Peruvian Skies" and "Anna Lee" are enjoyable; "Hollow Years", and "Take Away My Pain" are tolerable; but the three remaining tracks remind me of recycled, stale 'hair metal' songs from the 80's and 90's and make me race to hit the skip button. Some of the original elements created here could have played into future style of DT, as I've heard hints of "Lines" and "Trial" in SDoIT, ToT, Octavarium, and BC&SL. Overall FII is a well performed album and will always be one of the most worn out compact discs in my collection (bought it immediately after release). Lost a star after time though.
