2 stars Was expecting big things from one of my favorite artists - didn't happen. The first couple tracks are just so awash with 'sounds', yet nothing was really sticking out. I think a lot had to do with the overall production. Nowhere near the sonic quality of even the last 2 albums - ESP (classical) and especially Resonance, which had really nice production.

One of the things that totally floored me was the 'drum machine' tracks on the "Sonique Prinz Suite" - not only were the sounds of the drum machine sub par (production?), but the parts were just blah.

On the plus side there's some of the old Moraz fast runs with his signature "turns" in his solos. To me, there's a LOT of ethereal floating and drifting - not a lot of strong melody, which really would put this collection into the NEW AGE category more than prog.

There's a ton of talent on this disc, and it does come across every now and then - but I guess I had more expectations. Maybe the next time around. Patrick is still an amazing keyboardist....
