2 stars Let me state this, I love Rush, but this album is very hard to get into. This was one of the two "bad albums" from this era (at least in my opinion.) This album is just very poppy for me, and its very hard to get into. I find some of the album timeless and very good sounding, but most of it is just pop and not very good. There isn't much prog in this album either, only the lyrics on some of the songs and the musicianship for some of the songs.

The first song "Dreamline" is perfect. Its one of the only good songs on here. Geddy's singing is definatly excellent here. The basslines are nice, and the lyrics are nice and the guitar solo is great. The guitar solo in live shows is usually a solo jam and improv, its magical live of course, because of the way Geddy sings it live. "Bravado" is pretty good considering the rest of the album. Dealing alot with death, its another personal favorite from the album because of how weak the rest of the record is. The bass is soothing, and the guitar is lovely and singing to the ears in a high pitched caress to the ears. The drums are fantastic, of course, thanks to Neil Peart. Here is the down point, the rest of the album from here on out. "Roll the Bones" is very good for the first 2-3 minutes. Good pop and death lyrics, but it gets terrible. Rap is the worst thing possible, and I don't know why anyone would want to play around with rap because of how terrible it is. The rest of the album is too poppy and too radio friendly. "Ghost of a Chance" is excellent though, an exception.

The album has moments, but most of it is pop. Thats why I only get it a two star rating.
