"Obscured by clouds", just as "More", was the soundtrack of a film; unlike that album, "Obscured by clouds" has more rocky not-obscure ballads and, in general, the album is quite enjoyable; however, even with all the good moments that it has ("Wot's... uh the deal" is maybe one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard), the album is very far to be considered a real masterpiece, or a must-have-album.

Being released right between "Meddle" and "The dark side of the Moon", many people consider it a bad album, I disagree with that: I don't consider it a bad album, just not an amazing one either. If you like Soft Rock with a little psychedelic improvisation this album is for you, but don't expect to listen to some mind-blowing solos or long instrumental experimentation.

SONG RATING: Obscured by clouds, 4 When you're in, 3 Burning bridges, 4 The gold is in the... 3 Wot's... uh the deal, 5 Mudmen, 4 Childhood's end, 3 Free four, 4 Stay, 4 Absolutely curtains, 3
