2 stars Question:

What do you do when you are out of inspiration but still want to capitalize a bit?

Answer:

You re-release a good album some twenty five years later: with some adds on, an accelerated beat to make it more "listenable" by younger generations, and you repackage the whole.

And you get "Hyperborea 2008".

The band already committed "Phaedra 2005" (which was not too bad), but to insist with this one shows little care for their fans. And the story is not over yet?The worse available is the opening "No Man's Land". I couldn't find the original real great, but this remake is just a nightmare!

I guess that it was difficult to ruin such a wonderful piece as "Hyperborea" and even if this version is less expressive, it remains one of the best moment from this offering. But it was already the case with the original album.

The closing section from "Sphinx Lightning" is probably the best you can expect from this album.

I can only advice you to stick to the genuine work which was good (but not extraordinary). This one is two stars worth IMO.
