FRANCESCO ZAPPA

Once, I was talking with my oldest cousin and he asked me if I've ever heard Frank ZAPPA's "Francesco Zappa", he also told me it was one of the greatest records he had ever listened to, he had only listened to it once and he was intended to listen to it just once more in his entire life and that would be the day he was going to die, as a beautiful way to say goodbye to this world, I don't know how on earth is he going to know when is he going to die and I don't know either if he was true and if he hasn't heard this record ever again since that conversation that happened maybe 10 or 12 years ago, but I know that I heard that record maybe two days after I spoke with him and I havne'te heard it since until a couple of weeks ago and I notice what he was referring to: this is absolutely majestic and it should be listned with all respect and in very spiritual and specific occasions (maybe not on our last day on Earth but definitely not as if it was some regular album taht you listen to casually).

This record is Frank ZAPPA's tribute to a real Italian Baroque musician named Francesco ZAPPA who lived between 1717 and 1803, Frank played Francesco's compositions using only a Sinclavier synthesizer, and created what is probably his most calm, discrete, relaxing, serious, and beautiful album: he absolutely put heart and soul in these interpretations and the results are incomparable. Nothing in Frank ZAPPA's discography, not even his Classical Music albums such as "The perfect stranger" or "London Symphony Orchestra" (albums that just like this one, are absolute masterpieces of Classical Music but not at all Progressive Rock) are at all similar to "Francesco Zappa".

Absolutely essential as a Classical Music work, not prog.
